How To Add & Update POC for Patients

LifeCare's EMR system uses colors to let therapists know when something is needed. Icons that share information are either Blue which means everything is fine or Red which means that there is "something" you need to know or due. These icons are found in the Chart Note in Insight Go in the upper left.

Icon	Why Red
Medical Bag	Patient has precautions
Shield	Patient is nearing end of authorized visits for POC
Stethoscope Stick Figure	Patient needs a Progress Report / Plan of Care is or will expire..

But I alredy wrote a progress report!!!!!!

The EMR System can't "read" your reports so even though you wrote your report, some information needs to be entered into the Case Details Section of the EMR. This includes:

Initial Evaluation

• Add Diagnosis

• Add Plan of Care (certification period)

• Add Progress Report

At Progress Report

• Add Progress Report

Re-Certification

• Add Plan of Care

• Add Progress Report

At Discharge

• Change Case Status to Discharged with Discharge Reason

How To

Case information is accessed by clicking on the Case Name and then entering the information as above.

That will update the system so your red icons will turn blue and everyone can sleep well at night.
