Help! I documented on the wrong date!

If you completed documentation for a patient on the wrong date of service, here are the steps to correct it:


  1. Go to the Chart Note; in the upper right where there is normally a "pen" icon to sign the note, there will be a lock icon. Click this and enter reason/password to unlock the note.

  2. Go to the Schedule/Calendar.

  3. Go to the appointment and, on the calendar, "click and drat" the appointment to the correct date and time of service.

  4. Sign the note again!
