Definition: Exercises that address a single parameter to improve strength, endurance, ROM, and flexibility.
When to Use
• Impairment-based exercise targeting a specific deficit
• Measurable, skilled progression
• Not functional tasks (those fall under 97530)
97112 – Neuromuscular Re-education
Definition: Training to improve balance, coordination, posture, kinesthetic sense, and proprioception.
When to Use
• Postural control
• Balance retraining
• Motor control or movement patterning
• Proprioceptive training
97530 – Therapeutic Activity
Definition: Functional, dynamic activities to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
When to Use
•Functional tasks with measurable goals
•Activities that simulate real world movement
•More complex than isolated exercise
97535 – Self Care/Home Management Training
Definition: Training in ADLs, compensatory strategies, safety procedures, and use of adaptive equipment.
When to Use

97116 – Gait Training
