How often should I call?

So you get a referral.. you are calling within 24 hrs.. but no one answers. You have left a message and no call back..
LifeCare prides themselves on good customer service- we know our patients have busy schedules with family, Dr appointments, etc and they may not be home when you call. Leave a message.
Our rule of thumb.. is to try back every other day. If you try on a Tue and Thurs. Go ahead and call the following Monday. Keep trying. ( try three times, not consecutive)
More Ideas!!
1) Check the emergency contact info- is there a caretaker or family member you could try?
2) Is there a note in the Additional Info that shares a detail who you could call?
3) Is there a cell phone number you could text to try to reach them?
4) If you call in AM try in evening?
More and more people are using cell

phones from numbers all over the country and people are not answering them due to Spam callers. So try diligently to get in touch with your patient before sending back to he office.
The back office is always here to help you need anything or advice.
If that fails and you are getting no response please let Marika know via task so she can inform the team to decide for Admissions to follow up, Dr office follow up, or no admit the case.
