We know you are all hard working, busy therapists.. but we can't pay you if we don't have the documentation...
Our LifeCare Policy is documentation is due weekly by SUNDAY at midnight. Late notes are not accepted into payroll.
Monday notes will be for following week.
We need documentation for many reasons, but the tracking of the number of visits is very important , so that supervisors can do timely follow-up with supervisory visits and POCS are kept in adherence with regulatory compliance to reflect appropriate recertification and obtain physician signatures in a timely manner. These are just part of the many workings that are reliant on visit counts and timely documentation.
PT/OT/and SLP's- just to note- your Evaluations and Recertifications are to be completed between24-48 hrs. of the visit, so that the POCs can be reviewed and faxed to physicians. This is a requirement outside of daily visits.
If someone is a *repeat offender* , meaning you have been spoken to on more than one occasion of your notes not being completed in a weekly manner. We will speak with you as an IC therapist directly about a reduction in a per unit rate to process late documentation. Late notes past 2 weeks are at risk for not being accepted or being paid.
Please note that there are companies out there that require daily documentation. We just ask that you complete by the end of the week, so grab that cup of coffee and complete your documentation.
