How many units??

When you get your assignment via task.. we try to remember to tell you if your patient has a different insurance with different guidelines on units. But for a good rule of thumb.

Medicare patients can be seen up to 6- however 6 units or greater will require authorization

United Healthcare patients 4 units max- No treatment at time of evaluation- In the EMR it will convert to 1. We know to pay you for 4 units. Stick to 1 hr treatments.

Humana- 5 units max , only one discipline per day

BCBS is up to 5 unit max per visit

Aetna is up to 5 unit max per visit

Private pay- 4 units per visit

Fitness Plus- 4 units per visit

Long term care plans- 4 unit max

For Aetna patients Don't see patient on same day as different discipline, only one discipline per day!
