LifeCare encourages therapists to schedule co-treatments between assistant and supervisory when appropriate:

  • Need pre approval - task admin in Hucu

  • Necessary to support the plan of care;

  • To demonstrate or share treatment strategies;

  • As an opportunity to meet new therapists who have joined the Team.

LifeCare will pay both therapists for the time spent for patient care but understand that only one therapist's time is billable so please use discretion for these visits!

Supervisor

  1. Schedule the patient for a Co-Treat Visit

  2. Use the Chart Template for Progress Report or Progress with ReCertification.

  3. Document that the visit was a co-treat and what was performed.

  4. Bill your time and procedures

Assistant

  1. Schedule the patient for a Co Treat Visit (not standard)

  2. Document your visit as a co-treat;

  3. Do NOT bill units / mark all procedures as "0" minutes.

  4. To get paid, please send a "Task" to Cody Jones in HUCU with patient name and total time spent to have this time added to your next pay.

That's all folks :)
