LifeCare Therapy provides services under a contract with Brightstar which has specific requirements that all therapists must follow. Please:


For the Initial Evaluation


  • The patient must be contacted within 24 hours to schedule the initial evaluation. We must be made aware of efforts to contact and when the appointment is scheduled to communicate this information to Brightstar.

  • POC must be exact (e.g., 2 visits per week, 3 visits per week). Ranges cannot be used.

  • The initial evaluation is to be for 75 minutes.


For Treatment Visits


  • The schedule must be established and entered into the EMR.

  • Cancellations must be documented with the reason why on the same day.

  • Treatment visits are one hour.

  • Please "tag" Marika & Elisha in the patient's HUCU channel to notify us of any cancellation so we can communicate this to Brightstar.

  • Notes MUST be done weekly as we are required to submit each Monday.
